How do you do Family Worship?

Read

For younger kids, we recommend reading through narrative books, as your child gets older begin to read through the New & Old Testament.

Excellent Bible to use with young children:

Narrative Books: GenesisExodus, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts

Pray

Pray together! Your family can take turns praying or have one individual pray.

We recommend praying about something you read about during your “Read” time.

More info on praying the Bible can be found here or by checking out this book from our church library:

Sing

Sing hymns or praise songs together! You can use an old hymnal (we have several books in the church we would be happy to repurpose), looking up videos online with lyrics, or using our Sunday Morning lyrics that are emailed weekly are all good options for singing with your family. Here are some great online resources:

As mentioned in the video above, resources are NOT necessary to do family worship with your spouse, teens, or kids. We have resources available below just in case you would like additional activities to do with your children/teens.
